The Second Asian Palaeontological Congress was successfully held in Tokyo, Japan, in August 2023, and the second council was elected. It was decided to jointly host the "The 1^st Session of the 2^nd Council of the Asian Palaeontological Association and the Asian Palaeontological Young Scholars Forum" by the Asian Palaeontological Association and the Palaeontological Society of China, with the conference address set in Nanjing, China. This conference will invite all members of the 2^nd Council of the Asian Palaeontological Association, as well as internationally renowned experts and young scholars from multiple countries to participate. It will be of great significance for the future exchange and cooperation in the field of palaeontology among Asian countries and the display of research results in the discipline of Asian palaeontology.

VII. Geological field trip route

The meeting plans to organize a geological field trip, with the preliminary ahhangement as follows:

Time: November 28^th to December 3^rd, 2023

Main contents of field investigation:

1. Chengjiang Lagerstaete; 2. Qujing Silurian-Devonian Fossil Biota; 3. Triassic Loping Biota; 4. World Dinosaur Valley and Lufeng Fossil Sites.

VIII. Conference Registration Fee

1. Conference registration fee (including field trips): 4,500 RMB per person (registration fee includes meals, venue, materials, etc. during the academic conference, as well as accommodation and other expenses during field trips.)

If you have financial difficulties, you can submit an application to the organizing committee (apa@nigpas.ac.cn) to waive part of the registration fee.
